Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and HMU ("HMU", "we", "us") covering the HMU iOS app and the heyhmu.link website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, sending a message through an HMU link, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

You may not create, send, or share content that:

• harasses, bullies, threatens, shames, or intimidates anyone;
• is sexually explicit, or sexualizes anyone in any way;
• involves or endangers minors in any way;
• promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against any person or group;
• encourages self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders;
• is illegal, or promotes illegal activity, in your jurisdiction or ours;
• discloses someone's private information without their consent;
• impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation;
• is spam, a scam, malware, or a commercial solicitation.

We may remove any content and suspend or permanently terminate any account at any time, without notice, if we believe these rules have been violated. This applies equally to anonymous senders: anonymity on HMU never means immunity.

2. Eligibility

HMU is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to use the Service. The Service is rated 18+ on the App Store because it contains anonymous user-generated content, and the app verifies your age at sign-up. Do not use the Service if you are under 18.

3. Safety tools

The app gives you tools to protect your inbox, and we expect you to use them:

• Report — flag any message or conversation as objectionable. Reported content is hidden immediately and reviewed by our team within 24 hours.
• Block — stop an abusive sender from ever reaching you again.
• Remove — instantly remove any message or conversation from your inbox.
• Contact us — report inappropriate activity any time from Settings → Contact support, or by emailing kushal2001apple@gmail.com.

We also filter content automatically before it is delivered, and our moderators may review content that is flagged by those systems or by users.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create. By submitting content to the Service you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit it as needed to operate the Service (for example, delivering an anonymous message to its recipient, or rendering a share card you choose to post). You are solely responsible for the content you send.

5. Anonymity

Messages are delivered without revealing the sender's identity to the recipient. Anonymity is a product feature, not a legal shield: we retain the technical records needed to enforce these Terms, prevent abuse, and comply with the law, and we may disclose them when legally required.

6. Subscriptions

HMU Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple. The price is shown before purchase; payment is charged to your Apple account, and the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your device Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies.

7. Acceptable use of the Service

You may not interfere with or disrupt the Service, attempt to access it by any means other than the app or website, scrape or harvest data, probe or circumvent our security or rate limits, or use the Service to develop a competing product.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violating these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 4, 5, 9, and 10) survive.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Messages on HMU are written by users, not by us, and we are not responsible for their content — though we will always act on reports as described above. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HMU will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material we will notify you in the app or by other reasonable means before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
